That'll be a shitshow when February rolls around

Government could wreck an anvil with a marshmallow hammer

The correct answer has been there for a 1000 years or more

The Nixon administration got full time DST to pass as an excuse for saving fuel because of the oil crisis back then. Ford reversed it not long after he took over for Nixon.

Wait… if we move our clocks a half hour forward or backwards, but the whole world doesn’t, won’t that cause the math to figure out international travel even harder than it already is? The internet might implode if we did that

It’s going to happen. I emailed Senator Tuberville and he said that they have the votes.

Coach Tommy Tuberville
@SenTuberville
Glad to see the House pass my bill to lock the clock.

President Trump supports it.

So what’s the hold up in the Senate?

Looks like the time will keep changing. I wonder whats in it for Tom Cotton?

🚨Just in: Arkansas Republican Senator Tom Cotton is expected to block the Permanent Daylight Saving Time bill in the U.S. Senate https://x.com/TheCalvinCooli1/status/2077226067987701860

I dont care either way, I just want the time to stop changing.
Tom Cotton though is pretty damn corrupt on every level so I do wonder whats in it for him if he blocks it.
Banks used to like the time change because it allowed them to keep their doors closed for an extra hour or so to roll a full days worth of interest. But that has changed with modern 24 hour electronic banking.

Maybe I'm in the minority, but I can't make myself give a crap about the time change.....stick with standard time, stick with daylight time, hell keep changing the time twice/year....I just don't care.

Does either side have any good, compelling reason why we need to do anything other than "I don't like the time changing twice/year"?

My pooper timer works on a very tight and demanding schedule and it doesn't like being disrupted twice a year.

Although I would like a little more "evening light" after work in the winter, I'm right there with you. I don't lose any sleep over it (joke intended). Folks make it sound like it's a major undertaking to move a clock twice a year.

That’s interesting because Tubs and Cotton are pretty tight. They’ll probably give his district a military industrial complex job and he’ll change his mind.
