Which one are we on right now, DST or Standard?

I'd rather it get daylight later in the morning, so I could sleep an extra hour longer during hunting season. grin

Seems nice but the Earth will not comply.
Sun won't come up until after 8 am in Winter and your body will start feeling like it's in a constant form of jet lag.
Just like previously, people think it's a good idea until it isn't.
Plus when deer hunting this winter in the afternoon we’ll be in the tree until 6:30

As someone that works outside 90% of the time, I understand that and I’m good with it. I have more things to do in the afternoon than early morning.

The main reason folks have more to do in the afternoon is because most of society sleeps too damn late these days.

I'm old enough to remember back when we had daylight savings time all year. I remember going to pick up my buddy Glen Muroski in Altadena on our way to school at Briarwood Christian, and seeing all the public school kids standing out at the bus stop in the dark. None of the Karen parents are going to want little Johnny and Judy standing out in the cold and dark waiting on the school bus.

There’s a threshold where it gets to be too early to start the day and be in synch with your body’s natural clock…..I used to work a job where the alarm clock went off at 2:45 AM……There just wasn’t ever any getting used to that…..You felt like warmed over dog chit every time you drug your head off the pillow……There’s a sweet spot there somewhere for what’s just right……I’m going out on a limb and saying that its when it begins to get daylight….. grin

I agree. I like getting up about 15minutes before daylight so I can have the coffee made and be drinking it on the back porch as the sun comes up. grin

I guess I completely forgot about doing than in 1974. But it didn't really affect but a few weeks in February that aren't affected now.

Add 30 minutes to standard & take 30 min off daylight savings time. Now…. It’s the same time all year! You’re over thinking it.

I'm retired too and it matters to me. I'm tired of changing the damned clocks back and forth. It's just plain stupid what we do now.

Get "smart" clocks and dont worry about them spying on you, they'll change the time automatically. grin
