Politico always gets it wrong. Here's what he said today on Fox.
President Trump did not use the exact phrase "we are at war with Iran" today. Instead, during a July 13 Fox News Interview, he referred to the conflict as an active military operation and stated, "We're taking over the strait". He then formally declared the U.S. Blockade of Iranian ports and announced that the U.S. will begin collecting a 20% toll on all cargo shipments through the area. I guess he said that before he officially notified congress of resuming the war. Here's what he said to Congress.
