That's been the SOP for years both for a semblance of continuity and deference to the widow/widower. Y'all don't let your hatred of the gov't outweigh the way it has been for many, many years for practical reasons. Let her finish his term and then the people of SC can choose who they want in that seat. Letting it continue "the way it has been for many, many years" is why we are in this boat and up this creek
