If you watch the video the guy is further away than the man filming. It ain't like he was trying pet it or hop on for a ride.
The bison wasn't even looking at the man until the truck passed.
It looks like the truck passing between the bison and the man set the bison off.
Old man moved pretty well around them trees.
No matter how far away you are, it probably isn't far enough. Not only that, but the bison had been tearing up the campground. The old guy and his grandson just happened to walk by. this isn't the normal stupid tourist incident. That bull needed a 454 round thru the head.
