I shot a wedding out that way 20 something years ago so one day we snowmobiled Yellowstone. We pulled over to watch some bison and the guide mentioned their tail will tell. One idiot jumped the guard rail and was quickly yelled at to come back. They’d had a Japanese guy put his son on the back of one and was taking pics before the bison exploded on them killing them both. They appear stuck in the snow or so and appear very docile until that tail curls up.
