Wonder what happened the the lake that produced the record Bluegill? Ketona I believe was the name The lake is still there, it's actually an old rock quarry. My buddy knew a guy who had a key to the gate so I got to fish it some in my younger days. We would slip in there at night and fish, spooky as crap. The fish used to be hanging in a little hardware store in Tarrant next to the Vulcan Materials quarry.

The world record bluegill at onetime,over 25 years ago was at the store at fisherman's resort, below wheeler dam up Nance creek.

My dad caught one in California that looked like that. Don’t know how much it weighed but it measured a foot long and almost a foot tall. We took it to several peoples house to show it off then he took it home and ate it.
