I was at the Cedar Creek hunt too. So was Shaw. I'll never ever forget it. He got sick on the way home, after eating at the shrimp boil, there at the hunt. I pulled over on the highway and that boy puked his guts out. Found out later that he was allergic to shrimp.

We used to all meet up for the Toys for Tots dinner with our donations from the drives we had here.

My, how things have changed.

Old age is catching up to you Billy. Hunter got sick on the way down. We didn’t eat anything that evening because I’m deathly allergic to shrimp and Hunter didn’t eat either because we didn’t know for sure whether he was or not. Found out later he isn’t.

I can feel the difference from the time I registered ...the freedom of speech thing changed things here.... I miss the phone conversations me and Perch had.... as sick and dying as he was he'd still want to talk... we never got to go on that fishing trip we had planned.... voices of the past that still echo today.

Obviously DW took offense in a way that wasn’t intended but also several bitch ass members on here could t let it go either and kept piling on and making him madder and madder. That was the turning point for me. I had organized a couple of eat and greets previous to that. Had no desire to do another one after that fiasco.

DW is a good guy as best I can tell and was run off by little bitches who took sides and happened to be moderators. Several of them should be ashamed of themselves but I guarantee you they see no wrong in what they did

Tell people all the time “self awareness comes to some men later in life than others and to some it never does”

I’m SURE I remember that deal incorrectly and some of the guilty parties will be along directly to tell me how wrong I was and how saintly they are and were. I don’t have the time or inclination to search it all back up but you know who you are and you’re all guilty of running off a good guy for no reason

Robert, I was driving from Mobile to Montgomery the Friday before the shoot. Daniel called me and told me about the gay dove shoot advertisement and phone calls he got about it cussed for an hour. I laughed for the next three hours. I still laugh about it today.

The forum has changed. Many of the older fellas passed away. There was a bit more humor on this forum back in the day. The "brang da pain" video was and is one of my favorites.

There have always been azzholes on this forum. Bigjack was the old democrat and admitted it. While I can't say a lot liked him, he was genuine.

The forum has turned into an almost constant bitchfest about Trump, Israel and Palestine. But now the democrats are cowards pretending to be decent.

And that leads to a whole lot of negativity, constantly. Once, I'd click every new thread on the forum. Now, I avoid all but a few.

I don't come here for conflict, though it draws me in sometimes. I come here for entertainment or to learn things.

The member I remember being the most fun to read his posts was Cheeseburger. He unfortunately passed away, but he was entertaining to read and follow.

Pre covid wasn’t near the conspiracies. Everything is a conspiracy these days. Everything.

To me that’s the biggest difference, that and a lot good guys no longer around

Ditto Cuz, DW is a dang good feller. If was down his way and needed help , I feel like he'd be the only call I'd need to make.

Well I was the neighborhood outcast, I stumbled across this site in 2009 when our group wanted to find a lease in Alabama. I waltzed right up in this mutha and never left. It’s changed some in all those years. I’ve only had the pleasure of meeting just a couple people from this sight over the years. I have communicated with a ton by phone and text messages. I’ve learned a ton from a lot of people here also and on the rare occasion I’m able to help someone out. I’ll never forget the early morning group text messages that would kill my phone battery before mid morning. I went from the outcast to everyone’s Coonass cousin and I’m glad yall let me hang out with yall. Even though most of yall talk funny.
Ole Perch used to burn my phone up with messages. Some was play and some were serious. He was a wealth of knowledge also. I’m sure yall know, he went to his grave with a great amount of love for a ton of people on this site. He’d tell me that all the time. I sure miss those messages.

Before the Mt. St. Helen epic crash this site had, my original screen name was Dr. B and member #121 so I go way back. I had a jug of Ratscent in the fridge and was really sad when he died. Brody Joe and his white hair was the OG of pipe smoking. Never went to a meet-up but based on the notes afterwards, they were legendary and incredibly fun. The mule getting run over made me about pee in my pants laughing so hard and “Brang tha Pain!” video ranked right up there.

The world is a different place now and so is this site. I still love it and just ignore some of the nutty things that get posted. Some of the best folks I know are on here and I’ve never had any bad dealings with any member. I’ve even learned a thing or two from these folks.

Thanks Skinny for keeping it up and going protecting it.

Same here. Occasionally I’ll chime in on a political topic but very rarely. I’ve made some really good friends through this site. Heck, probably some of my best friends.

The ones I've met have been good people. Between this site and the forbidden one, I've made several friends.

As one that has been here for a long time, maybe longer than most of those active now, I can say the site has changed. But so has everything else over the last 25 years. I’ve met some great folks from this site, had PMs with others, but most I’ve never met or interacted with. Like everything else in my life, I’ve learned to just move on from things that stress me out or topics where there are no changing of minds possible. It happens and is just part of life now. I used to live having political discourse with someone of a different political viewpoint, but those days are largely gone now. All that said, I still get a lot of entertainment and value here. And usually see “news” here before some other sites. I’ll keep coming by until Skinny shits it down.
