I guess now is the appropriate time to explain the difference between a preliminary hearing, which is what this is, and a trial for those that are mixed up right now. All the prosecution has to do in a Prelim is show that there is a probability that Robinson did it. Not beyond a reasonable doubt. Don't let your zeal for a good conspiracy have you getting the two mixed up. If anything, I'd say the prosecution let it go on too long because they long ago met their Probable Cause burden in this case. Usually the defense just waives this step. In this case though they wanted to see just what the prosecution had before filing for Discovery. I think the Prosecution played too much of their hand too early.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.
