Crispi Lapponia 3 or Crispi Lapponia lite or Crispi attiva. I’ve had 3 different models of Crispi boots and they have all been well made, broken in from the beginning, and stay waterproof with minimal care Yep, Crispi Lapponia are my favorite boot. I wear them hunting year round & change my socks to match the weather. I've got other nice boots, but always find myself reaching for the Crispi's.

It’s a Colorado mule deer hunt. I’ve done a couple elk hunts in my Danner Pronghorns and they performed very well….comfortable, water proof, and suitable for low temps, etc. The only complaint I had was toe blisters. The only shoe I’ve used I don’t get blisters in while hiking is a tennis shoe. I was just curious if anyone had any experiences with the hybrid/tennis shoe type boots, and whether anyone had a recommendation for a brand or model they’ve had good results with. This particular upcoming hunt is going to require a significant amount of hiking with loaded packs up to altitude (11,000-11,500) and I’ve got the blister protectors to use if I’m in a traditional boot. The Crispi lapponia is the ticket for what you're describing. It has all the advantages of a high end hiking boot, waterproof, ankle support, structured sole. But it feels more like a tennis shoe, than your typical high end hiking boot, that's rigid & heavy.

The best I ever had were a pair of Vasques. The went belly up not to long ago but there are still a few out there if you happen to run across them.

You definitely need the ankle support the lapponia would give you for mountain climbing and side hilling. Tennis shoe type boots are gonna roll on you
