They must be withholding all the evidence that definitively puts him shooting Charlie for the trial. Maybe the “mountain of evidence” they promised us will come out in the actual trial. There’s too many holes in what they have introduced, so far. The text are pretty damning and many are different than reported initially. Imagine that Those can be manipulated. Kinda like getting a call from a spoofed number. Things aren’t always as they seem. There’s been way more head scratching things that happened after the murder to really trust what’s going on. The trial will be interesting, to say the least.
