He told me God is not of this world and we can't understand his plan!

So sorry you have had to go through that pain. I can’t even begin to imagine how incredibly hard that must be. I have come to the conclusion that there is a degree of randomness in this fallen world. I definitely don’t think things always happen for a specific reason. I believe sometimes events are just plain accidents.
