I agree that your land, my land, whoevers land is ours to do as we please. Sadly, as a society, we are no longer considering our neighbors, just what benefits us the best. People no longer care about each other. It's sad, and there are exceptions, but for the most part, people will sell out for their own selfish wants. I own 2 parcels of land and if I ever sell them, they will have restrictions written on them for no subdivisions, and no CAFOs. (Chicken houses, feed lots). I don't care what it does to the value. I don't want my neighbors having to deal with it. You will have virtually no chance of selling with those restrictions. That's OK. I'm fine with that.

I feel like it’s his shtick to get views. He obviously is in it for the attention under the guise of “I’m a good guy for the environment. Please invite me onto your podcast.” That’s the gist I get from him. For the record, I don’t disagree with his opinions mostly, but I feel like he’s in it for nefarious reasons at times based on his social media presence. I don't think he is. I think it's because the more views he gets, the more people know. I've communicated with him before and even talked on the phone with him once. He doesn't come off that way at all. I think he truly cares. We were trying to figure out something to rally conservatives to do more for the environment. It's something I'm fairly passionate about as well. As outdoorsman, it seems that we miss the mark on this. A lot of times, a long as it doesn't effect said person's lease or property, they don't care. They don't look at the big picture and realize the damage we are doing. I want my kids and grandkids to have woods and rivers to play in. I know him and is a good guy with lots of knowledge. All he’s doing is pointing out habitat loss around the south which is rapidly occurring I lived 86-87 in the first neighborhood we were developing on County Line Rd in limestone/Madison line. Farmland and land forever, no houses or developments. Fast forward til today.
“Socialism only works in two places: Heaven where they don't need it and hell where they already have it.” ― Ronald Reagan
