I agree that your land, my land, whoevers land is ours to do as we please. Sadly, as a society, we are no longer considering our neighbors, just what benefits us the best. People no longer care about each other. It's sad, and there are exceptions, but for the most part, people will sell out for their own selfish wants. I own 2 parcels of land and if I ever sell them, they will have restrictions written on them for no subdivisions, and no CAFOs. (Chicken houses, feed lots). I don't care what it does to the value. I don't want my neighbors having to deal with it. You can put restrictions on them before selling but it wont take much for those restrictions to be lifted. I can buy it and agree to the restrictions, then sell it to my personal LLC with no restrictions. You are better off approaching the county or city about getting a zoning restriction put on the property.
