Not everyone. The VA sent a preacher to my dad a few weeks before he passed. He told the preacher to go to hell and never mentioned GOD once before he took his last breath. I always figured he'd relent on his disbelief before he passed and asked him more than once to let me help him with it. But he steadfastly refused.

My great grandmother was the same way. Preacher came to the house to visit her on her death bed and try to get her to change. He asked if he could pray for her and she told him his prayers wouldn’t make it past the ceiling. I think about people like that every now and again and wonder what they are thinking now.

Man, I dunno. I had to go to another room, lock the door and let it out where nobody saw the weakness. It sucks. But I'd never force it on him. Ever. Nor anyone else.

Character is not developed in moments of temptation and trial. That is when it is intended to be used.
