Seems like…. People don’t understand but when God calls you home then IT’s your time. There is nothing NO one or anything that can be done to stop it. Our days are written from or before when we are born if you believe in GOD. We have no reason to question or fear our fate. Being a RN I’ve seen the most faithful fear death and the least faithful ask for Gods forgiveness. ?????? All I know is some how everyone turns to GOD in the end.

Seems like…. People don’t understand but when God calls you home then IT’s your time. There is nothing NO one or anything that can be done to stop it. Our days are written from or before when we are born if you believe in GOD. We have no reason to question or fear our fate. Being a RN I’ve seen the most faithful fear death and the least faithful ask for Gods forgiveness. ?????? All I know is some how everyone turns to GOD in the end. Not everyone. The VA sent a preacher to my dad a few weeks before he passed. He told the preacher to go to hell and never mentioned GOD once before he took his last breath. I always figured he'd relent on his disbelief before he passed and asked him more than once to let me help him with it. But he steadfastly refused.
Character is not developed in moments of temptation and trial. That is when it is intended to be used.

I'm ready to rock n roll, get outta here and go home. I don't wanna be around when the left destroys what remains of our freedom. I don't wanna be here when Vladimir or Xi or Kim or pulls the trigger. I can think of a hundred reasons why I'd like to exit this place. I can think of a handful of reasons to stay, number one being that God is not finished with me yet.
I remember when my Grandmother died, her last words were "Lord, I'm ready take me home".
I remember when my MIL had a widow maker heart attack. My wife asked her if she wanted us to keep her on life support and she just pointed up to the ceiling.
At this point in my life, I don't fear death, I welcome it. When I am actually faced with it, I hope that I can be like my Grandmother and MIL and continue to welcome it.
I know where I'm going
I don't want to pass quietly into the night. I want to slide in sideways kickin and screamin
Life really is awesome ... Soak it up while you can ...

My brother-in-law passed away 2 years ago and was a strong Christian. He always said he wasn't worried about where he was going, just the dying process to get there. I think that is where a lot of the "fear of dying" comes from.

Lost my Deddy this past January. He was my best friend. I refused to do CPR and had to get ugly with the Medics to make them stop. All because it wouldn't have been fair to my Deddy to bring him back to the pain and suffering. He was ready to go home to be with his Lord and Savior, that I'll never question. He had been ready to go home for several years due to his health. However I do know that he didn't want to leave Momma. He looked at her and asked: Baby, you wanna go home with me? That was love, but also painful to hear. After 57 years of marriage together, she wants to be with him in their internal home.

I have given this some thought and I wonder if perhaps you die when either:
A. God thinks you are ready.
B. God is using you for a greater purpose.
C. God has given up on you. (Not good!)

I think the fear of death is present in all humans and actually living things to some degree. Maybe fear is too strong of a word. Uncomfortable may be better. I do think that as people grow older many get more comfortable with it especially if they are in poor health. Im only 56 and I already feel that to some degree. I definitely believe in Jesus and Heaven but its still a real question of what does it feel like to die? The Bible says there are things worse than death and I definitely agree with that. Im amazed at what some humans and pretty much all animals will do to avoid death. I believe the reason for this is deep down we all know somehow that we were originally created to live forever. Death came by sin and it was not in the original plan of Gods creation. Therefore in our innermost being or consciousness it is unnatural to us.

Medics have a job to do. Those situations were always difficult when I was in the fire service. Simple answer is don't call until they're cold. It's a mercy. I get it. But I've walked into plenty of conflict where daughter didn't want to let go, son was ready and following the families wishes. And the deceased had a damned brawl because adults couldn't act like adults. It's usually the females that can't let go. The men understand and want the peaceful release to Jesus. Sorry that wasn't peaceful for you.

It sucks. But I'd never force it on him. Ever. Nor anyone else.

What was his choice that morning, just to get in the car with another16 year old and another 17 year old and they all 3 died! I have never blamed God or been mad at him about it! I just can't see that this script was written before hand and for what reason! I have meet and talked to a few parents like me and most where like me no blame but want a few answers! I met this one guy and came up and said he so wanted to meet me. I walked over to my brother and ask him who thay guy was, he told me he had lost his son in a wreck, the day before he graduated top of his class in med school! He told me God is not of this world and we can't understand his plan!

Man I have tried my best not to respond to this, most are talking about older people ready to meet God! I lost my 16 year old son in a car wreck. I have come to the conclusion that there is a degree of randomness in this fallen world. I definitely don’t think things always happen for a specific reason. I believe sometimes events are just plain accidents.

Death is nothing to fear, we all have it coming. It's just the fact we don't want to die. We all just need to make sure that we are ready with the only true God.
