I think once you get the Gly concentration high enough to punish the horse nettle you’re going to ding the clover pretty hard…

CNC might remember the recipe from the old QDMA forums, seems like some had success on some Ladino plots sprayed with Gly

What k bush said. Gly only works on white clover with grass competition and light application rates. Gly must be applied at higher rates on nettle and usually early in development to be effective. If you mix at the rate recommended for nettle you’ll smoke the clover.

First thing that came to mind when I read it was a discussion about the risk of creating gly resistant weeds by using low rates......That might have been 257 talking about that on here

i’ve sprayed the border of this field with 32oz/ac and it will yellow for 2 weeks or so and comes right back to blend in with the rest, just curious as to the max amount that won’t kill the clover

Cleth is for grass. Butyrac is for broadleafs in clover. Not sure how it works on nettle though.

I have low dosed gly on clover with no issues.

I "think" it's about 1oz per gallon but research it. Ed Spinola?? had a recipe. Like said above I think you are going to need it too hot to kill the nettle for the clover not to be affected.

The only time I’ve had good results with gly on ladino was in may. I used the 41% jug and mixed at lower strength for a back pack sprayer. It’ll burn the clover a bit but the clover always came back. Never dealt with nettle in the field. This time info year it might get rough on the clover.

The ladino at the farm takes all kinds of abuse and usually comes back from many other mixes I run through corn and beans. Guess it’s gotten used to the mixes idk

I’ll spray gly around been barns and sheds and the clover handles it just fine. Been doing that for years so that may be a factor

the gly killed everything i wanted it to except the horse nettle…..

and oddly enough, i have several areas of clover around my barn that spray multiple times a year and the clover barely flinches, must build up a tolerance to it
