Took my wife and daughter offshore yesterday and we caught some golden tile fish, a couple of long tail sea bass and a nice limit of snapper. Great weather and sea conditions finally for me, since every time I’ve been able to go it’s been rough. Hoping to take a buddy and his wife today and put them on some fish for a July 4th celebration! Hope everyone has a happy 4th and stay safe! MERICA[Linked Image from i.postimg.cc]

I think the long tail sea bass may be my favorite saltwater fish. Reminds me of crappie.

Nice Haul! Great eating.

Life is a journey. Make sure and bring plenty of Beer.

My luck has been so bad lately, it could be raining pussies and I'd catch one with a dick broke off in it.

Nice! Y’all did better than me. I went inshore in the kayak Friday but got skunked. I had a few reds tailing in ankle deep water, including 2 that were WAY over slot, but couldn’t get them to take a fly.

Played a real-life game of Frogger on the way back trying to cross the ICW in a kayak at 11am on the Fri of July 4th weekend (I’ll never do that again)

Went to the pier on Sat morning and caught a couple of decent Spanish but that was it

It was about 300yds to get across where I was. At 5am it was calm like a lake, at noon it was……not.

I waited until I couldn’t see a boat in either direction then paddled like hell. I crossed right at a set of channel markers so I could at least get out of the channel as fast as possible at a place where boats were more likely to hopefully stay IN the channel.

Wild is an understatement

What depth were you fishing for the tiles?

We caught these in 960’ to 980’ south east of Orange beach about 45 miles.
