The same can be said for both sides. People that have always been taught evolution will never honestly question it as well because it's "uncomfortable". People have a hard time surrendering to the fact that our human minds are not the higher form of power and intellect and feel we need so desperately to "figure it out". It's as you stated in another post, we give ourselves way too much credit.
