Me and the wife ran 60’ of black iron under the house this morning was hot, but about dark last night I was prepping. Got so hot I caught a headache and nearly 🤮

It’s rough on this old body - started yesterday morning at 7:00 and ended at 7:30 last night. The key to working in this heat is to slow down, drink a lot of water, change clothes, and take a lot of breaks. If the local store is open - I need to buy some Gatorade for today and/or pickle juice.

If you are grilling today, grill early or grill late. Dont start grilling at 2:00 in the afternoon, your food will taste like sweat.

Weird moment yesterday. In the middle of the day, with that miserable sun and heat, I noticed it get a little darker. Walked outside and the cloud cover was thick. Not the black rain clouds we usually get, just a thick smooth cover of clouds and the temperature dropped significantly and the humidity was less. I scooted back inside to get shoes on and went back out to do some outside work while it lasted.
Hung around 30 minutes then the sun came back out in full on assault mode.
Never seen that happen without thunder and rain involved and never that drastic of a temperature drop.
Character is not developed in moments of temptation and trial. That is when it is intended to be used.

I'm outside cooling off. AC isn't working. 83 in the house 72 outside after a shower. SIL prodigy is gonna look at it when he gets home. Hope he can get it going. Hopefully so He went to the shop and took a 5 ton compressor off a unit he replaced Friday. Got me up and running a little bit ago. Didn't cost me a dime
