Back to the neanderthal part of this discussion……..I’ve been watching more documentaries and I think I understand the complexity of it a little better now…….Take this with a grain of salt for sure
The whole process started when Africa experienced a major climate shift that converted a big portion of it from a tropical jungle to an arid grass prairie…..Primates that had previously lived in the trees of the jungle had to adapt to the new grass prairie conditions and that’s how we slowly came to walk on two legs instead of four……Without many trees the survivors became the ones who could travel farther distances to obtain food and upright walking became the advantage
Eventually one of these early ancestors picked up a rock and started using it as a tool and I suppose you could label that moment in time as when we became human……It still doesn’t fully explain what makes us special though…..A crow can use a tool but that doesn’t start a cascading process of brain growth and continued learning that’s builds on prior generations’ discoveries, etc…..A small population of these animals that started walking on two legs had to get isolated in an area where they were exposed to something very unique that none of the others were exposed to….That's when we would have become "humans"
That isolated area would have been Eden and within Eden would have been some special plant that only grew there or some something that created a significant change in this animals brain capability.....From this isolated garden of Eden there eventually began to be offshoots of this new special version that expanded back out…….When folks ask the question about how Cain could have found more “humans” when he left if he was the son of the first two……this would explain it…..There WERE other human like animals out there that may have been sexually compatible with Cain……
So off shoots of these early humans from that Eden population moved into different environments around Africa where they lived for tens of thousands of more years and eventually changed over time into numerous slightly different forms in different parts of the continent……Some of these offshoots in the north might exist for 10,000 or 100,000 years before eventually dying out while other forms in the south persisted … Nature was doing a lot of trial and error in forming the next “version”……
Eventually things would bottleneck with certain new forms thriving better than the others and slowly replacing them as they died out and that’s how we developed more and more efficient versions of ourselves…..The best version of homo habilis off shoots became homo erectus etc….If I had to guess I would think that the better version would outcompete the others for food over time and that be at least part of why the previous versions went extinct along with climate changes…..I'm guessing that Adam and Eve would have been a homo habilis……the handy man.....

Now to flip the questioning around let me ask Driveby. Matt and others…….Do you just not believe any of that ^^^^^ to be true??......I know Driveby’s theory but what I’m asking is how do you rectify your idea that humans just appeared with so much evidence that shows we evolved over time…… Explain to me how you “make it work” so to speak…..Which of these different versions of homos do you consider to be human and which do you not....etc..etc

How that evidence is interpreted shapes our view. I believe God created a perfect world where animals and humans live in peace. I believe the pre-flood world was a lot different than what we see today, as evidenced by the fossil and archaeological records. It’s clearly evident by the fossil record this world experienced a flooding event over 100% of the known land mass. I also believe pre-flood it was one land mass, Pangea if you will. We can agree on that. I actually believe God divided the continents when he separated the peoples after the destruction of the Tower of Babel. Look at the tectonic plates and the earth beneath the surface of the ocean. Look at the continents. You could almost put them all back together like puzzle pieces. After this continental separation you had speciation within the animal kingdom as animals were cut off from as much genetic diversity. Same thing with humans. As we were divided certain segments expressed traits bound within that genetic population. Regardless we are all people. All human. I really don’t like the idea of evolution from primitive life forms, because if true, we are nothing more than the animals we hunt and domesticate, and I think you would agree from your previous posts, we are of higher intellect, set apart, different than other created things. Also, if evolution of humans from primitive beings is true, it supports racism and genocide of the lower forms of human intelligence, which I’m vehemently opposed to. I could be wrong, but my interpretation of the accentuated facial features and stature of some of the fossil records supports longer living humans. Stronger physically, longer lives, better diets, more robust skeletal structures, etc. I don’t think it takes millions of years to see sone of the selectively bred or isolated traits to be expressed. Look at what we can do to animals over only a few generations through selective breeding. Dogs are dogs. Horses are horses. Humans are humans, but look at the changes in physical appearance and phenotype that can occur in extremely short amounts of time through selective breeding. I don’t think climatological changes take as long to impact living things responses to it either. We and all other life forms can adapt fairly quickly. It’s written in our genetic code by our Creator.

So when you say you don’t like the idea of evolution from primitive life forms……let me ask this to see if I can understand a little better what you’re saying……If we go back on the timeline that roughly laid out above to the time when that jungle transformed into and arid grassland because of drastic climate shifts, yada, yada…..In your opinion would it have been possible for some of those primates that lived in trees to eventually walk on two legs??……Do you believe a specie can change that much?

Yes I believe that can happen, but they’re still primates, not humans. There’s no supporting evidence in the fossil record, to me, that indicates if humans died today, the primates left on earth would eventually replace us with intelligent, eternal, souls.

Humans are Primates. Taxonomy 101. A taxonomic classification completely devoid of the acknowledgement of a creator. Yes, we are defined as primates, because we share similar characteristics. That doesn’t mean it’s right though does it?

That’s actually the exact same scenario I was thinking about too…….If humans died off today could chimpanzees be building rockets a million years from now with the proper diet??.......To me it would take a miraculous event occurring somewhere in the process that would have a probability of one in a gazillion……There would have to be a special brain mutation that occurred that allowed knowledge to build on itself across generations and that accumulated knowledge building be a big part of what shaped that animal instead of just environmental conditions…..To me an improbable brain mutation of that nature is just as miraculous as the literal story…..I think the appreciation for that is being diminished because we want to cling to "the story"

If you really want to take a deep dive read up on the Archons and the Aeons in Gnostic history. That's pretty far out.

CNC, have you watched the video of the creation scientist interacting with Grok AI about creation? I posted it in another thread a month or so ago. I know from all your previous posts that you read and watch different viewpoints broadly, and I think you would find it interesting.

That doesn’t mean it’s right though does it? Humans are in the Order of Primates, The Family of Hominids, The Genus of Homo, and the Specie of Sapien. There is nothing wrong with how Biologists have classified our specie. This chart has nice detail https://www.sciencelearn.org.nz/images/3026-classifying-humans

I guess my point is that I don’t agree with it because of this: The entire animal classification system is based off the assumption evolution is fact. It is not fact. It is theory. A broken one at that. Do we share some characteristics with primates? Absolutely. Should we be in the same order? Not necessarily. Clearly my opinion and it’s based off a biblical world view.

Biological Evolution is a Natural Historical theory meaning its validation can only be found after the event. The mathematical formulae that would be required for it to be an axiomitized fact have not yet been developed (unless they have and we dont know about it). An axiomitized fact, like gravity or thermodynamics can be mathematically explained, biological evolution cannot because of the random nature of how traits develop through time. I suspect AI will eventually crack the code and then we will all be in trouble. It will mean that we will be able to create species out of thin air with traits that never existed in our understanding of nature. Fire breathing dragons will be amateur hour for the species creators.

The Dire Wolf gene editing was the opening act, but I don't think God will let us get to the final chapter with AI, like you are describing. The Tower of Babel is a good example, like Matt mentioned. Genetic hubris never ends well....

It wont be genetics, it will be environmental directed force.

I get what you are saying. The curse wasn't the tower falling, it was everyone losing the ability to understand each other, which is exactly what AI is doing to reality right now.

We didn't evolve from apes agree with brock never have bought into that theory. My curiosity lies with wanting to know what was here pre flood and what technological things we lost. Theres some big megoliths that are almost or pretty much impossible to build even today with our technology.

Theres some big megoliths that are almost or pretty much impossible to build even today with our technology. Building big stone monuments without modern equipment is easy. Moving massive stones a couple hundred miles is nothing when you got a dedicated work force who spent their entire life learning how to do it.
