Back to the neanderthal part of this discussion……..I’ve been watching more documentaries and I think I understand the complexity of it a little better now…….Take this with a grain of salt for sure

The whole process started when Africa experienced a major climate shift that converted a big portion of it from a tropical jungle to an arid grass prairie…..Primates that had previously lived in the trees of the jungle had to adapt to the new grass prairie conditions and that’s how we slowly came to walk on two legs instead of four……Without many trees the survivors became the ones who could travel farther distances to obtain food and upright walking became the advantage

Eventually one of these early ancestors picked up a rock and started using it as a tool and I suppose you could label that moment in time as when we became human……It still doesn’t fully explain what makes us special though…..A crow can use a tool but that doesn’t start a cascading process of brain growth and continued learning that’s builds on prior generations’ discoveries, etc…..A small population of these animals that started walking on two legs had to get isolated in an area where they were exposed to something very unique that none of the others were exposed to….That's when we would have become "humans"

That isolated area would have been Eden and within Eden would have been some special plant that only grew there or some something that created a significant change in this animals brain capability.....From this isolated garden of Eden there eventually began to be offshoots of this new special version that expanded back out…….When folks ask the question about how Cain could have found more “humans” when he left if he was the son of the first two……this would explain it…..There WERE other human like animals out there that may have been sexually compatible with Cain……

So off shoots of these early humans from that Eden population moved into different environments around Africa where they lived for tens of thousands of more years and eventually changed over time into numerous slightly different forms in different parts of the continent……Some of these offshoots in the north might exist for 10,000 or 100,000 years before eventually dying out while other forms in the south persisted … Nature was doing a lot of trial and error in forming the next “version”……

Eventually things would bottleneck with certain new forms thriving better than the others and slowly replacing them as they died out and that’s how we developed more and more efficient versions of ourselves…..The best version of homo habilis off shoots became homo erectus etc….If I had to guess I would think that the better version would outcompete the others for food over time and that be at least part of why the previous versions went extinct along with climate changes…..I'm guessing that Adam and Eve would have been a homo habilis……the handy man.....
