Some innerwebs say squirrels some say blue jays. I’m leaning towards squirrels. Haven’t figured it out yet but I predict death is going to happen in my garden. Put trail cams up for clues.

Coons. You better get you some traps or pull all that corn. They will wipe them out in one night. Trust me!! That corn looks plenty ready to pull.

Something chose one of my pepper plants last night and ate every leaf off it. I'm not in a location I'd expect deer. Or rabbit. My suspicion is the 8yo.

But can't prove it.

I haven't grown corn in 40-years, but my experience with coons was they would lay the stalk over. I would guess squirrels - but I know that Marsh grows corn like nobody else, so I would defer to him.

Deer have pretty much destroyed much of our garden (except the peppers that we have in cages and our tomatoes).

Squash/zucchini - what the squash vine borers didn't kill the deer ate all of the leaves. We pulled it all and replanted.
Cucumbers - deer pretty much ate all of the leaves and runners.

Growing corn sucks. It dosen't matter what variety I plant or how deep I have plant it or even when I plant it...it gets blown over and doesn't finish out well. I planted five 320' rows of ambrosia this year and sure enough as soon as it puts out ears it got blown over. Haven't gotten a drop of rain since smh.

That’s crazy!! I’ve never had issues with squirrels. Coons and possums are a pain in my later plantings. Looks like squirrel and dumplings need to be on the menu.
