For you guys that keep one in your truck, how often do you bring it in to recharge? I went to my camp yesterday and my wheeler was dead, I hooked up the jump box and it fired right up. But the jump box only had two bars and brought it in to charge and it took almost 8 hours to get it fully charged back up. It's a almost new jumper, first time I have ever used it.

I just "check it periodically" (when I happen to think about it) and charge as-needed....If I actually use it, I'll go ahead recharge it after use, whether the indicator light says it needs it or not. If I haven't used it, it's not uncommon to go 4-6 months without charging it and it isn't anywhere close to being low/dead

in fact, this is actually a good reminder for me....I haven't used or charged it in probably 6 months and I'm driving down to the coast Thur night, so I'll go ahead and plug it up just to be safe.

Last July, I bought the one in the link below. I only charged it when it got here and I've used it about half dozen times. Right now it's down 1 bar from fully charged.

I have the capacitor type that will compress the charge you have left in your battery. Or you can get it from another battery.

Based on a need or just what you feel is good for it. Mine did not have information as when to charge it, other than if at or below 50% power.

They will save your ass, at times. Was way up in the woods about a year ago, all by myself. Went to leave, and my battery was dead. Jumped my truck, and didn't turn it off till I got home.

L&c in Geraldine has the same one in Geraldine alabama. For 30.00, I would call ahead and make sure they still had some.

I have one of these and have jumped off a John Deere 410 backhoe with it. Technology has come a long way.

I’ve got one by Ryobi that uses my power tool batteries. You do have to “prime” it, which I assume is charging a capacitor of some type. Only complaint so far is the leads could be a little longer.

I had one I forgot about. Battery dead and wouldn't charge when I finally did need it.
