What’s your go to for an impact to use around the house? Changing lawnmower blades, tires, etc. I’m in need of one, have no idea which brand or battery size? Can someone post a link for a good deal possibly? TIA, Robinhedd

We have a half inch dewalt at the farm and it does ok. We have a 3/8 dewalt that’ll walk all over it. Not sure what’s going in there but the 3/8 will do everything we need it to

I bought a Milwaukee. It is bad to the bone. Highest torque rating of any battery impact on the market. The half inch Milwaukee I had wouldn’t do half what my dewalt will do. But it may been a bad one or the “cheaper model” it came in a 5 piece set. The 1/2” deWalt I have will out perform my pneumatic Ingersoll-ran thunder gun. But it’s also 20 years old, so it may be wore out. 😁😁

I just bought a 1/2" Kobalt impact wrench last week and love it. 24v and plenty or power/torque. I have every 24V Kobalt impact wrench that Lowe's sells. I have the 1/4", 3/8" and 1/2". The 1/2" is a beast. I had to have it to get the nuts off the blade bolts on my bush hog. They hadn't been off in several years and were rusted. That thing didn't even grunt. 650ftlbs of loosening and 500 tightening ft lbs. Also have the 24V drill/driver, circular saw and, as of yesterday, the 5" angle grinder.

I already had Ryobi so I bought the best 1/2" Ryobi offered . No complaints at all. I use it now more than my IR 1/2" air impact.

I bought a slew of the Bauer brand stuff from Harbor Freight and everything has held up well. Batteries and tools are a lot cheaper than Milwaukee and other brands so I figure I can buy two or three before I spend what I’ll spend on big brands. The batteries lone for Milwaukee and Dewalt are crazy expensive.

We use Milwaukee stuff at work everyday,they are strong and hold up pretty good considering what we put them through,if you’re not gonna use it all the time I’d probably just buy a cheaper one instead of dropping $3-$500 on a 1/2” Milwaukee

If you go the Milwaukee route, buy the fuel model they are the strongest. Batteries are the $$$
