Demand is down,, futures for August are falling. Pork is bottoming out right now. Rice is up more than anything. They say due to fuel prices, people aren't buying as much beef. Not sure why pork is crashing When I can grill a nice 16oz thick cut pork chop for $5-6 a lb; I am doing that several times a month. Add some jasmine rice and steamed broccoli with lemon/butter sauce and you have a great, easy to prepare meal for less than $10. Pork chops are the play right now
