When 16s were briefly popular (at least available) about 8-10 years ago i bought several cases for my modified choke 1897. Great dove gun, until my shoulder gave out and I had to go with an auto 20.

If you delve into reloading for it, Ballistic Products (unfortunately) is the only place I have been able to find modern load info and matching components. I have 3x 16 ga's I load for. Another one I need to move along... Fell free to pm for any info.

It's got a TON of loads, but it seems a lot of the components are discontinued/obsolete, much like the gauge was for years.

dad has a Remington 1100 16 that I’ve killed and 18 wheeler load of doves with. I was thinking the other I want to get it from him this year and make a hunt with it. That thing throws an amazing pattern.

Order shells from nachez... wait til closer to dove season they will run a heck of a sell on RIO. or i may can get you the hook up. I hunt with a 16 guage with a modified barrel. Best season i had was last year. When i swapped to a 16 ga. I can shoot it a lot better because it is lighter than a 12 ga. I can swing it around and manuever it better.
