Haven't heard much about crypto lately. Seems like there were several posts many months ago. Anything going on with crypto? Seems like Bitcoin was up to 126 several months ago but now down to 60.
Are you guys buying now?

I’ve looked and looked, I just can’t find one I feel good about.
BTCI is the only thing I would touch. That’s only so I could get my money back fairly quickly. I’m not “owning” any crypto.

BTC and the others are now mostly controlled by governments, mega banks, and investment houses. Its foolish to think that they will do any better than any other generic stock. For those that think they are safe and outside of the reach of government, Scott Bessent has been openly bragging about how our government hacked in a snatched Iran's crypto assets.
Trump did the classic pump and dump on the meme-coin thing and it made him huge returns but left everybody else holding empty bags.

The stock market and the casinos both love the gamblers.
It is interesting that folks are always trying to out smart, out time, out pick the stock market. Is it the get rich quick mentality or is it folk's natural desire to compete in a game of some sort? Or maybe some of both?
For the vast majority of investors, broad-market ETFs are the best choice. Picking individual stocks to "beat the market" requires intense research, emotional discipline, and a significant time commitment, and even professionals usually underperform simple index tracking over the long term. Our investments have averaged earning us over $11,000 a month since I retired 27 months ago. How much money does one need?
Point being... You can make a nice income from having your money in ETF's and just letting compound interest work for you.

My neighbor is a retired investment broker and he’s done the same as you mentioned Irish.
He’s day in day out you’ll never beat market by gambling. Not in the long run
He and Shia buddies Disney’s but said he’d never do it again. They were young and gung-ho. He said the amount of time devoted was beyond stupid and this was before the internet. He admits be easier now but still. Play the odds and you’ll come out ahead by being in the market over time.

But it just simply works. It's like losing weight or building muscle... Human beings have this natural affinity for making simple things like eating less calories or progressive resistance over time seem complicated. All complicating things does is give them a reason to fail.
