I'm not so delicate I'd ever need that feature. There are plenty of attention whores and morons here , just like real life. I mostly just skip over anything they post. I don't respect their opinion enough to let anything they say bother me.
For me, it was more about clutter. Other sites I've posted on, if you "ignored" someone, their posts/threads just disappeared entirely, as if they didn't exist. It wasn't about being "delicate" or being bothered by it, it was about not having other posts/threads buried by their trolling.
But since that isn't how the feature here works, it's pretty much pointless because you still have to sift through their stuff even if you "skip over it"
