Every one of us still have 1-4% Neanderthal DNA. It is higher in East Asian populations and lowest in African populations.
That is incorrect and is a terribly misleading stat or figure that has been washed through the mainstream for a while now.
We have DNA that developed in Neanderthal regions and time periods but no real Neanderthal DNA. If anything Neanderthal DNA is actually mutated and recombined human DNA. Neanderthals, Denisovins, Floresians, "Red Deer Cave", Heidelbergensis, Rudolphensis, and Sapien, all are direct and recombined Homo Erectus off-shoots.
