As they should. Don't like the 14th Amendment, Congress needs to approve changing the Constitution and have 38 states ratify it.

Sad to watch the slow decline of the greatest nation in history. And if you believe in history all great nations will eventually fall. Sad

All based on yankee diddling with the constitution after the war of northern aggression.

Let them stay but don't let them act as "anchors". Deport momma and daddy. If they want to take their kid with them, great, If they don't then it becomes a ward of the state. We're paying for them anyhow. They will have to make a choice as there's nothing in the constitution protecting them, only the child.

As it stands, you are paying on 3 mouths when momma and daddy stay. If they leave the kid behind, you're paying for one. This also removes the motivation for having the "anchor baby" from the beginning.

I know this will never happen because it's "mean" to separate a momma from her child. But, in my scenario, momma is choosing the separation, not us.

Great suggestion and this is exactly what needs to happen, but it never will.

I agree, too. There are still lots of couples would love to adopt a baby and they don't care about the ethnicity. Chances are, if the child is left for a better chance of quality life and the parents are deported, that child would be adopted and no longer a ward of the state or on the taxpayer dime.

Congress needs to step up and do their job ASAP.

"Why do you ask"?

Too many people spend money they don't have , on things they don't need, to impress people they don't know.

They wouldn't have a job if they did that.

Our government is failed. Nothing they do has real staying power. It will just be a battle of loopholes until it’s over. Any I repeat ANY faith that our government will do the right thing is at this point outlandish

Driveby gets it. 100%

But unfortunately Abolt300 is correct. 100%

I even agree with Dryfire's post.
