For years I spent my time and money fixing up someone else’s land to have it taken away when the lease holder finds out you’re killing good deer. I bought a little piece of land and that was the best decision I’ve ever made. Now I owe several pieces of property and kill really good deer off of everything I have. Owning your own land you can spend as much money as you want or do as much work as you want and it will always be yours. I wish I would have bought land 20 years ago when I to damn cheap and just wanted to lease stuff

Buy it. I have owned 3 tracts. Never regret purchasing any. No regrets at all.

I bought property near Ball Ground, GA in 2013.
Planned to live there the rest of my life. Then, everything went crazy. Originally bought 32 acres+/-. Sold 6 acres 18 months later, paid for the whole place. Built a house, cleared a food plot or two, then in 2023, sold another 3 acres, paid for the place again.
Fast forward to today. I sold an additional 13.5 acres to 2 different builders. Used the proceeds to buy 50 acres near Toccoa, GA, and have enough cash reserve to build a house. Will sell the last 5.3 acre lot and the 3 acres with a house on it to replenish savings.
Buying raw land is almost never a bad idea.

"Why do you ask"?
Too many people spend money they don't have , on things they don't need, to impress people they don't know.
