I just paid a crap ton of money in vehicle tag renewals so I am not very happy with the gubberment right now. You don't have to renew the tags on all the junk cars sitting on blocks in your yard...  Just one junker and it aint on blocks, it just needs a lot of damn work.  Only a few folks been on here long enough to remember the Snapper. I think that was its name. lol.

Driving the Snapper for a few years enabled me to save enough money to have too many damn vehicles now.

Can't say I agree with much you post. But that is spot on. We agree on much more than separates us. We just tend to focus on our disagreements, myself included.

seat belts and helmets with motorcycles. Both are good ideas but at no point is it the governments business if I wear a seat belt. If I die or become seriously injured because I don’t have my seat belt on….thats my problem. These laws are for the government's ACTUAL constituents, the insurance companies.

I agree with the original post. Yesturday someone at work just proclaimed he hates the u.s. government, and I thought what he is really saying is that he hates America, because America is the the government. Otherwise there is pretty land and people everywhere. I love America. I love the government because it has more freedoms than any other country

So many people have a car/truck wreck. They lose control and run off the road and the vehicle overturns and they are thrown out and rolled on. DOA. I see it often on the news. They maybe would/could survive if buckled in. You’re right. But I don’t need a fine or the government to tell me to buckle up. That’s over reach. If I die then it’s on me. My decision didn’t affect anyone else. I identify more and more libertarian. I think, the Insurance companies re behind most of these types of laws. They want people slowed down/seat belts etc. They have deep pockets and enrich the congress people.

My thoughts aren’t so much of a “hate” but a disgust, disappointment, and complete lack of trust and confidence in the government. I keep saying in other threads there are two sets of laws in this country. One for those politically connected, and one for the rest of us. This I am convinced of.
