I saw Southhall and Whiskey Myers at the Wharf in May while we were down there.
Tickets were reasonable and all the seats were good enough.

Satellite radio, Amazon Music, and Spotify brough it back to us, and I am forever grateful. Couldn't tell you the last time I turned on AM or FM radio on purpose.

Add brenn hill, frank foster, whiskey myers, and justin mcbride, and you gotta pretty good list!

Y'all need to turn mainstream radio off. I'd argue that this batch of young country artists is some of the best to ever do it. But you aren't going to find it on 104.7 WZZK

Totally unrelated, but last night my 12yo daughter was able to sing along to Forgot About Dre and didn’t miss a single word (other than the bad words which she intentionally “muted”)

I was both incredibly proud and simultaneously a little horrified 😂

Country music today sucks. Used to listen but not anymore, just twangy pop music is all it is. The people filling those stadiums are young kids. They can have it.

Just listen to music you like no matter what it’s labeled as. If you don’t like it stream something else. It ain’t rocket science.

XM Radio is your friend. Listen to what you want. Not expensive either.

Life is a journey. Make sure and bring plenty of Beer.

My luck has been so bad lately, it could be raining pussies and I'd catch one with a dick broke off in it.

I read somewhere today that Alan Jackson is doing his last concert.

That tells you all you need to know right there.

The lyrics to most of the ones today sound like they were written by a 10 year old.

There's a few good ones. Stephen Wilson Junior comes to mind. He's not exactly country but close enough and he isn't trying to look the part. Dude can flat pick and sing.

Some of that old country is pure and utter garbage. Just like today, some good stuff some garbage, I decided long ago to not let things like music bother me because it dont really matter.

He's gonna be in Avondale in November.
