Here with my son for CWE new freshmen camp. Stayed downtown at the AC the past couple of nights. I might give the athletic program a little hell every now and then but the city and campus are beautiful. I’ll still blame his college selection on his mother but I understand 😄

Auburn is a beautiful campus and town but I do not like the 5 and 6 story apartment buildings they have put in the area. It has ruined the small town feel and charm.

Auburn is a beautiful campus and town but I do not like the 5 and 6 story apartment buildings they have put in the area. It has ruined the small town feel and charm. What’s wild is the monthly rent on those in the downtown area. 4 or 5 bedroom units are in the $1,200-1,600 per bedroom range.

Lived in both places - AU people were lot nicer. Many of my Bama friends hav mentioned over years many times - they like campus/city bettr and most definitely said people are nicer at au
Lot of folks n t-town did not even speak in passing with a simple hi and i was not wearing anything au - when i am in au - everybody speaks in au that i encounter. Prob are exceptions - but that what i seen as general rule of thumb and many hav stated same in my lifetime

Same in Starkville....I think most (in-town) college town realty stays in a perpetual bubble. Houses as well as apartments. Same house/apartment a few miles from city limits is much less expensive, but still higher than non-college areas. That is amplified when the teams are doing well, as there is more "game house" interest/participation. The closer to campus, the higher the prices.

Auburn is one of the most beautiful towns in Alabama, in my opinion. We were at CWE a couple weeks ago with my twin boys. My oldest has been there a few years now. It’s on my top 3 places, possibly top 2, to live in Alabama if were to move.

I spent 12 years at Auburn, and the change from when I started in 2005 to graduating a second time in 2017, the place was so different. Now almost 10 years later, the place just doesn't feel the same. Still love it, and always said I would move back one day, but I don't think so anymore. Congratulations to the young man, War Eagle.

Yep....we originally moved here in 2000 and you are spot on about the change.....Its gonna be ruined eventually and just be an overcrowded mess that lost its appeal.......That being said, for now though there's still a lot worse places one could live.

Traffic is something that is getting noticeably worse over time.

Even though I'm a Bama fan, both my Nephew and Niece graduated from Auburn. Went to both of their graduations. Real nice town. My Niece Even went to Vet School at Auburn.
Not a bad town in my opinion.
Life is a journey. Make sure and bring plenty of Beer.
My luck has been so bad lately, it could be raining pussies and I'd catch one with a dick broke off in it.

For those that want Auburn but it’s grown too much, then live in Opelika, Waverly, Oak Bowery or Beauregard.
I bounced over to Opelika 4.5yrs ago and have been really pleased yet I’m less than 10 miles from Jordan Hare.
College Towns are a great place to call home.

We moved our youngest in today. Classes start Monday. Bittersweet for his mother and I as we officially begin the pseudo empty nester stage of life. He’s a smart boy like his mother and prepared but I already miss him.
