Any of y’all going tomorrow night? I saw that Sammy Kershaw is the opening act. The one and only time I saw Sammy in concert was at the Buckmasters expo years ago. What was interesting was that he was walking around in the expo with his bodyguard and when he was walking towards me I thought, damn I had no idea that he was 4’ tall.

We are going tomorrow night. Should be interesting. Hank never sings anything right.

I saw him at Boutwell over 40 years ago. They were selling beer. Things got rowdy.

And he’s gotten worse over the years. I saw him in Orange Beach a few years ago and not only did he not sing anything right, he acted like he didn’t want to be there. Just needed a check.

I’ve seen him a few times. If you are wanting to hear his songs the way you know them stay home and listen to Pandora or something. If you want to see a sho’nuff show, then go to the concert.

I remember first time seeing him, I was disappointed. None of his songs sounded like the radio. But I look back on it I believe he’s a great musician that likes to change it up however he’s feeling. His talent is above our heads. He’s a legend either way. Wish I could go, but too old for that mess now. LOL

Saw him once in concert in the 80’s. Sang 2 songs & quit. Too drunk to sing. Won’t pay to see him again.

I got to like his concert format of playing 30seconds of each song, makes it more interesting. Let’s face it, it’s boring listening to 5 minutes of a song you heard all your life. And if you want see a show that sounds just like the record then go to a milly vanillie concert

Lol, that reminds me of a time back in the late 80's, went to see Hank at the BJCC, I might have over indulged on a few beers and had worked my way down to the front of the stage and was really jamming to whatever song he was playing and wasnt looking at the stage, then all of a sudden gun shots start going off!! I kinda sobered up enough to check myself for holes and turned around to see Hank standing on top of the grand piano with a lever action 30-30 firing blanks in the air. I thought I done been shot.

Saw him 6-7 years ago in Arkansas and it was the same thing. Glad I went to say I went, but half the time he just played music and let the crowd sing for him. Once is enough for me.

I've always enjoyed Hank. But the only time I saw the Allman Brothers I felt the same way as some of yall. Played songs and then made the songs twenty minutes longer by just playing music that seemed to repeat over and over. It was like they took turns slipping off stage to do whatever.

Same here. I went to one of his outdoor shows in Florence when i was just a kid. He had a bottle of Jack sitting on one of the speakers and would chug it between songs. He sang 5-6 songs and left the stage. About 10 minutes later we saw his bus pulling out and it was over. Terrible concert.

What's weird to me is the fact that this is what folks have said about Hank Jr for decades now but yet people still show up to see it..... grin

I saw his show at the BJCC in the eighties and enjoyed it.
