Funny... I was just thinking about this today on my ride through southern Arkansas and northern Louisiana. There's ag fields everywhere, as far as the eye can see. When you look at the crops, whatever crop it is, it's growing like wildfire, but in all the dirt around it, there ain't nothing growing at all... Not one plant growing other than what's planted.
Then I noticed every now and then there'd be a house of some sort. People living there in the middle of all those ag fields. What the Hell are they breathing and drinking in all day every day?
What the Hell are we eating all day every day?
It's interesting that the same people that make all the herbicides and pesticides are the same people that make the medicines that are supposed to keep us healthy.
By the way, I rode about 300 miles today and only a small few bugs hit my windshield or helmet. Why ain't there more bugs this close to the Mississippi? We’re killing ourselves slowly however the pace is quickening I just saw where the fish in the river have high levels of mercury It mentions certain species but never mentions others that feed on the same baitfish in the same manner and locations This has been so for a while. Basically the bigger/older and more prolific predators have more mercury as it accumulates up the food chain. The small critters and bait fish absorb a little bit, then the big fish eat them and it combines with what they themselves have absorbed. It’s not just fresh water either, it’s all marine life. You’re supposed to limit tuna consumption because of it.

Read the label folks! Then figure out for yourself. Some of the chemicals are not that bad. Some are like forever chemicals. It's the generic name in a lot that stays in the soil for years. Contaminates our water. Newsflash: Some pharmaceutical companies came to make herbicides. Are they all bad, somehere in between the lines lies the truth. I came across a beautiful looking lake in Teneessee. Problem, signs up everywhere water was contaminated. Protect our water and soil we can't make anymore clean of either. The essentials of life. I would rather have an ear of corn and have to cut the earworms out than have one that had overuse of all the bad chemicals. With correct ratios some maybe are not as bad for you. May shorten your life a little, but it's all good, right? Read the labels at least.
