I can buy one of these for each day of the week and have $ left over for some of the figures quoted above. I know, I know, it doesn't have AC , but it is cool.

I’ve got a Can Am Defender Limited that’s cabbed with AC/Heat. At the time of purchase I thought it was a little ridiculous, but I really enjoy it. Stay cool/warm, don’t get covered in dust etc. I’ve contemplated selling it for a Toyota truck or Jeep, but I like it too much and feel like there would be definitely sacrifices to be had if I done so.

4 Runner will go better than Toyota trucks if equipped the same and are generally cheaper. It doesn't take much to make a 4 Runner mighty bad. 3" lift , set of P Buckshots, locker and remove/disconnect the front sway bar.

Our household income is significantly higher than it’s ever been and while we’re not struggling to make ends meet and save for retirement, we still have to be careful with how we spend money. It’s demoralizing

Most of the folks I know who have the more expensive SxSs aren’t in debt. They went and paid cash or stroked a check.

There’s a guy on Facebook marketplace out of Auburn that regularly advertises Kawasaki Mules, the six seaters, if you’re not opposed to them. They’re used but only a few years old and he’s usually in the $15,000 range. If you opt for the diesel version, you can get one a couple of years old for about $8000 or $9000. For some reason, they don’t hold their value as well as the gasoline versions do and you can get them much cheaper. I have read that they are extremely reliable, just louder and slower. Another option would be to buy one of the models from someone like tractor supply or somewhere like that. I’ve always been leery of those, but my neighbor has one and has had it for several years with good luck.

You're exactly right. Had a 5th gen modded out with full King suspension, disconnects, and all the goodies. Thing would go just about anywhere. Another good one was the Fj Cruiser.

Just picked up a new Trailhunter and starting the process on it here in the near future and it will eventually be my primary camp vehicle in the fall when the wife isn't using it for her daily. Can't pry her out of it at the moment.

Those older FJs were bad to the bone and expensive

Rode in a few of those big suburbans in with lockers in those rice fields a few trucks too. A deuce or two setup

Those NorthStars are seriously nice, power windows, the works lol

I bought a new one last year when bama buggies had the 1000’s for 9999.00
Roof, windshield, bullshit fees, still wasn’t but 13,600.00 OTD
I wouldn’t want anything else. Imo
Idk who would buy the 30,000 ones?..🤷🏼‍♂️
I don’t finance anything btw.

They will go a lot of places but not everywhere a side by side will go
My Toyota will go places MY sxs won't. Particularly crossing sloughs in 40" of water. Some folks will do that in their sxs, but I won't. I keep mine out of water deeper than the floor boards.

I have a buddy that bought one of the no name SxSs from Tractor supply. It was fine for a few years and then had what should have been a simple problem (I don't remember what it was, but I think something with the stater). He couldn't find parts and couldn't find anyone to work on it. He wound up selling it cheap and buying a Polaris.

You can buy those things used on the cheap for pennies on the dollar for what the original guy paid.

I probably have the worst credit score of anyone on this site because I haven’t put anything on credit in over twenty years. I tried to rent a car a while back and was unable to because I only had a debit card, not credit. I tried to buy a motor home at Camping World and the wanted to charge me over five thousand the agreed price because I pulled out the check book instead of financing. Cash doesn’t mean anything these days.
