Dang this went off the rails. There is no law that says you have to have serial numbers. I do defense. If the owner can identify the guns being pawned on video it’s a case. With that being said i would never expect this kind of bs being said about law enforcement on this site. Every county deputy I know is way underpaid and does his job to the best of his ability. No one ever said it was a law. It was stated that without the serial numbers some departments use it as an excuse not to pursue investigations which in many cases, you are correct, other identifying characteristics could determine ownership of the firearms. It’s a shame those departments don’t do everything in their power to investigate and get the weapons back to the rightful owners.

In divorce it’s gonna be 50/50 unless something bad bad stupid happened

My wife had enough police tell her that the courts are so full and court times are pushing further out. Unless it’s violent crime not much time is spent pursuing misdemeanors. Most of the time the crook gets a slap on the wrist after charges are pled down. Drug dealing is the same deal unless it’s hard stuff or big quantities
