Lowe’s is ridiculous. Idiots delivered a broken toilet to me which I refused to accept. Moron delivery guy knew it was broken when he picked it up and planned to deliver it broken anyway. Talk about incompetent people at the store. How do you see a toilet obviously broken with a big hole and chunks of porcelain falling out and send it to be delivered?? Lowe’s are a bunch of idiots. Fought with them and filed complaints and bad reviews on these idiots. Got my money back after multiple calls to store and corporate Lowe’s. 💩 on Lowes.
I've sworn off Lowes and Home Depot except when I absolutely can't avoid them....About 75% of the time I step foot in one, I leave pissed off.
Thank goodness we recently had a local family we [sorta] know open up a small family-owned hardware store about a mile from our house. I'm not talking about an Ace franchise either, but a legit, one-off, family-owned store. They obviously don't have the inventory Lowes/HD has, but they have most of the stuff you'd ever need, and their prices are surprisingly competitive with the big guys.
For anyone in the Northport or Northside areas.....Milligan's Home Improvement and Milligan's Farm & Lumber (two diff locations). Please support these folks so they do well and we continue to have local options...
