Update: after 19 days I’m home. I feel good just weak. 3 days after surgery I developed perforated diverticulitis and this set things back even further. I was on a clear liquid diet and hooked up to 3 IV’s for 6 days. I’ve never been in such a dark place and felt so defeated. Spending Father’s Day weekend in a hospital and not able to eat was rough. The good Lord and I did a lot of talking and honestly that’s the only thing I had to lean on. I did not really want my family up there for long seeing me like that. Monday they got the drain line put in and I came home last night. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. According to the Dr’s my heart is strong and in perfect condition I was just blocked up. They said it will take about 10 weeks and back to life as normal.
