I know a Shelby Co Deputy that many people think is just a wonderful person. I’ve seen the real side. Lockjaw has as well and can vouch. Crooked as a snake is an understatement. I’ve had “dealings” with this deputy to the point that I’ve told my boys if they ever get pulled over by said deputy to hand over their license then ask for a supervisor to be present. Then, don’t say another word. When the supervisor arrives, tell him of our past dealings with this deputy and our concern. My dealings with this particular deputy was a personal issue that ended up involving Lee County Sheriff Dept. The deputies there were shocked when they found out this particular person was a law enforcement officer.

This deputy should not have a gun, much less a badge. Couldn't survive as an SRO at the High School, was moved for being to combative to an elementary school, where the complaints continued to flow and is now back on street patrol. My son was persecuted by this deputy, and because I complained, the Sheriff and the Chief Deputy pushed the DA to prosecute my son, when he didn't like the case. Cost me some $., but on appeal, the DA dropped the case. The chief deputy said he knew this person and that the person was an "outstanding deputy".

The truly tragic outcome of this is these kinds of officers TAINT people's impression of ALL law enforcement. I have met some truly outstanding officers, and I have met some that are a disgrace to the badge.
