When my truck and boat trailer was stolen at Guntersville the only thing the sheriff did was threaten to arrest me if I kept nagging them about it. Didn’t even put it on the computer for weeks. Tallassee PD caught him a couple months later and sent him back to Marshall county. He was on parole for stealing cars. After weeks of going to court and Inothing being done I called to check on where things stood. They asked me if I knew where he was.

Had a house stripped of wire in Huntsville. Officer came out, wrote a report, said we could get a copy of said report for $10 and told one of my employees he would arrest him when he commented if he caught the thief he would beat his ass. Then the cop saw the backhoe guy who he knew from some kind of gospel song group and they talked to each other about an hour.

Conclusion I’ve drawn is the only kind of crime they’re interested in solving is the kind they make money on.
Most I’ve dealt with have been great but I’ve had enough issues with them over the years that I am now of the opinion it’s best not to even talk to them.
