I’m still praying for you spec and please keep us updated. You’re going into your surgery with no heart damage which is huge. You’re going to be on here telling us how good you feel in a month.

And i was a little bitter for a while when i found out i had to hav my second surgery 20 years later😀 my wife helped my mood a lot and had lot of folks praying

Prayers sent. I went through a double bypass at 52 years on Thanksgiving Day of 2003. No heart damage, I was climbing trees and deer hunting in Jan. I'm sure the technology has advanced since then

I’m on right side of the dirt this morning!!!!! The pain is fairly significant but beats the alternative. Just met with Dr and he can’t believe I haven’t had a heart attack.He said I was very lucky and told luck had nothing to do with, I prayed about it and God kept me on the path to get healed. PpHe also said it went as smooth as a bypass can go.

Hope that your recovery continues to go well.
My neighbor/hunting buddy had almost identical issues a few weeks ago. Same age, good physical shape, but had some odd symptoms. Had a stress test done & they wouldn't let him leave. 100% blockage of his LAD. 60-80% in two of the others.

Forgot to tell you - my pain early was rough 1st surgery 20 years ago and in april pain was there but not super great
Also - my heart surgery was different - but it felt like i got better week by week and usually day by day. I cant say what u need to do - but for my surgery - walking was key to recovery they told me. Just do what they tell u and do not lift crap. They will give u details - do

Update: 5 days after surgery and I finally feel
Like I’m going to live. Got sent back to ICU yesterday because they couldn’t get my blood pressure up for 2 days. Finally it up late last night. Also fighting diverticulitis and retaining fluids which they think
Is an easy fix. Headed back to a room today and should head home Thursday

Thanks for update! Praying still! I had fluid for a while. Cant say for your situation - but they told me to walk and that helped me a ton. Did 4-5 walks a day - i still walk after work

Just inquired about walking importance for quad bypass - say it may be more important - but stick to plan they give you!!
My dr at uab told me to walk some - then walk some more and some more - but not giving yourself out every walk. He was stressing the importance. I was on a slow progression with my walk doing little more each day if body felt like it

Little update: woke up
This morning and for the first time in 20 years I felt like I actually slept. I mean I wasn’t the least bit tired. I am very sore the verve blockers have worn off that they gave me before surgery. My number are all perfect and stable except fly white blood cell
Count jumped up, the steroids that have been given me flared up my diverticulitis. They want to keep me another 24-48 hrs for observation. I took the news hard cause after 13 days I’m ready to go home. Guess all I can do is pray for patience. God has taken good care of me so far.
