I was taking metformin for years. Thought my stomach was just easily upset! Doctor wanted to take me off it and started me on Ozempic a couple of years ago. It knocked my A1C down to 5.5 to 5.7. Plus dropped 40 plus pounds off from it. It took me around three months to get used to it. But the bad symptoms are gone and also the constant diarrhea from the Metformin is gone.
I forgot to state I am a type 2 Diabetic.
