welp - it’s time to let The Beast go to someone else who wants to push it over the finish line …. IMO this is the desirable old 70’s Ford pickup - 4 speed manual, 351 Cleveland engine, short wheel base … I’ve done A LOT of mechanical work to this truck in the nearly 2 years I’ve had it - tons of new parts, new tires, new carb/fuel line & filters, starter, alternator, etc - it’s running great & totally roadworthy now … are there still things to fix - sure - but it’s way more manageable now than when i acquired it … we’ve bought a ‘95 F150 that we’re restoring that better fits our needs around the farm …
text me at 2zero5-six5seven-7four7zero to come look at it asking $10,500 OBO

yup - really hoping somebody on here gets it - really don’t want to deal with the FB crowd this truck would make an awesome father/son project - IJS - these old trucks are awesome for learning/teaching the basics of mechanic work

I have a buddy that had one. He fixed it up and had a mechanic put a 427 in it. He put 44 swamppers on it. We went across the Georgia line to a mudding contest and won. No telling how many seals and u joints we put in that thing. It was a monster!
Love a good hunting story, love my family and friends. Some people you can't, but acted like do.
Did you keep the original 2 into one manifold pipe to a single in/dual out muffler, or some other set up? I believe the only to run true duals is fenderwell exit headers, due to the transfer case and driveshaft, which I don't want to do. When my pinion left the group chat, the driveshaft destroyed the original exhaust pipe, which needed to be replaced anyway. Unsure on exactly what I want, but sure I will have to fabricate it.
I have a 77 with a 400 that we have true duals on using standard long tube headers. I can get you some pictures of the exhaust routing if you would like.
I had it's evil step brother. It was a 76 f150 with a 360. It had an auxiliary fuel tank and needed two more. That 351C is very desirable though, and in a great truck to begin with. GLWS.
I ordered a 1977 F150 4x4 straight 6 with a 4-speed manual transmission from Mundon Ford in Pensacola. They were selling at cost plus 10% in the summer of 77. The price was $6,600.

I'd have to look back at the paperwork, but I think the one I have was $6200 new from Marengo Ford in June 1977. Pretty base model Custom, only options were 351M V8 and PS/PB. I paid the original owner of it $5500 in 2020, joked that only losing $700 from new purchase price after 43 years was pretty dang good. Pretty much all vintage trucks, and especially 4x4s have skyrocketed since then.

That's the one I'd like to have, straight 6, 4 on the floor. Granny low and buckshot murders, go almost anywhere. A blast from the deer dogging days around Calhoun, Ft Deposit and Mt Willing. Fun times
