I've been Type 2 for a few years now and have only been 1000mg Metformin ER twice daily and nothing else. My fasting level is usually in the 130 range and rarely do I get above 150 a couple of hours after eating. My A1C hovered around 5 to 6 for a few years and now I'm in the 7ish range. When first diagnosed, my sugar was 175. I'm also on the Carnivore diet and have lost 40 pounds. Want to lose 40 more. I don't eat any sweets, no bread, barely any carbs and just try to stay on as much protein as I can. The neuropathy in my feet is not anywhere near as bad as it used to be but does come and go.

There are several diabetes drugs on then market and I'd ask why the doc wants me on those particular ones. Press for hard facts/answers.

Get the F out of the BATFE. The F is guaranteed by the US Constitution. Those other letters are not.
