You have nothing to worry about. My 2 big ones are 12' long each and I regularly tote them in an F150 with a 5.5' bed. I figure with the tailgate down, it's roughly 7.5' long, which still leaves about 4'+ hanging out the back. I just strap them in good where they can't move and let'er rip. I have a kayak in the truck about as much as I don't, and regularly drive from Tuscaloosa to the beach and back like this, never been a problem.

I just measured it, there won't be too much sticking out. It will fit under my toolbox and have plenty riding on the bed and tailgate. I'll feel much better about dragging it back 3.5hrs North if I need to. Im pretty excited about it.

And damn a 105# kayak. If you'd had it in the back you'd have never gotten stuck. rofl

Well if it makes the deal better that paddle is at least 100$. 3’ out the back is no big deal. One ratchet strap and she good to go

Picked it up this morning. In good shape, can tell it's seem some time in the sun. Seat was apparently stored inside because it looks brand new. But overall in good shape for an 8 year old kayak. Guy even had all receipt from when he bought it and the paddle and Scotty mounts. About 1200 worth of stuff. Felt like I did alright for the price. Was about to put it in Santa Rosa Sound and go for a stroll but got a storm coming in. Maybe tomorrow morning will be nice and I can test it out and get lucky and put a slot red in it.

It won't fit under my toolbox like I thought it would, just a touch too tall. Even then only about 3.5 out the back. I was gonna just keep it down here but gonna take it back home so I can do some work on it and get it set up like I want. Hoping I enjoy it, because 98 this morning between Navarre and Pensacola sucked. I don't know you folks who live down here deal with it.
