^ the solution for that is easy. You should be able to sell directly from your farm to consumers, i would be ok with haveing to label " this food has not been inspected by usda." People should have freedom to choose if they want it inspected or not. They do this on a small scale with cottage foods, but the money limits, and categories make it difficult to do.
I agree completely. I would not hesitate to cook a steak you had carved and sold in your shop. People should have the freedom to choose. It'd be nice if we could go back to the old bartering system where I would swap you some eggs, produce, or fish, for steak or burger, and just take the $$ and tax man out of the equation all together.
