I don't think those are inflation adjusted $. Meaning the $3.27 in 2008 is like $6 today.

Those prices are not correct. In February 2007 I bought my 06 Titan and gas was knocking on $4 in the shoals that fall
It actually went over 4 for a week or so. Many of the weddings I was shooting the brides kept mentioning I hope that big thing gets good gas mileage
I also recall arguing here that those high prices were gonna break the economy. The market also tanked the following year and we got Obama but up until that point folks were willing it with their petro stocks.
